I’m throwing together a quick post on a laptop at my buddy Matt’s house, because I don’t know when I’ll be home next. I’m down in the Harrisburg area and we’re having a New Year’s party here, and then I’m most likely going to the Orange Bowl on the 1st. We’ll probably be back on the 4th, and everything is up in the air from that point on. I don’t have tickets for the Orange Bowl, but I don’t care; tailgating is gonna be absolutely ridiculous, I seriously can’t wait.
There are some interesting facts on this site, and most of them don’t seem too hard to believe… But I don’t know about that “gay bomb”.
I finally got a video iPod a few weeks ago, and it’s awesome. I don’t know how many of you remember my post about how you can get free stuff from Apple if you own an iPod that’s within it’s one year warranty – But I used this trick to get a free A/V cable. Basically what this means is that I can take any video file, encode it to .MP4 format, put it on my iPod, plug the A/V cable into the iPod and the other end into my TV, and watch the movie on there… Which is pretty awesome. Just thought I’d let you all know I got my dock for my iPod for free from Apple. You can do the same, just go here, enter your iPod’s serial #, then login and fill everything out. I told them that my current dock wasn’t recieving any power, and that I tried unplugging it and plugging it back in, as well as I trying it on several other computers to no avail. They ship overnight and don’t ask you to send your defective unit back. You’re welcome.
Anyway, if you’re looking for video content for your iPod that’s already encoded to the proper format, iPod Nova is a good site for torrents. If you want a good application for encoding video files to .MP4 format, Videora iPod Converter is a nice freeware tool that’s easy to use.
I found this to be kinda strange… Sega is planning to release at least one game for the Dreamcast console, which I assumed was “dead”, since they haven’t released anything for it for a while. I still have a Dreamcast, but I only really use it for playing NES Roms.
I’ve seen language translators online before, and they’re useful, but This translator is pretty cool though, it translates the words to whatever language you’d like, and it does it while you’re typing.
If you want a PSP, but it’s out of your price range, or you don’t like all the limits put on it (ie Sony’s attempts to prevent homebrew development) then the Gamepark GP2X might be just what you’re looking for.
To be honest, I don’t know how I feel about this… I’m just confused.
Like I said before, I’m not at home so I don’t have any of my files or anything… So plugs/links will be taken care of next time I post from my house. Everyone have an awesome New years, and I’ll be posting again soon.
