Salty Scabbed-Up Egg Ass July 13, 2007
To celebrate the 10th anniversay of Radiohead’s OK Computer, Stereogum asked a handful of indie/alt/whatever musicians to cover songs by the band, in order to create what more or less amounts to a tribute to the album. Check out “OKX” here. I think it’s pretty cool, but I’m a huge fan of the original album, as well as several of the artists on this tribute.
Girls: When you’re out drinking with your friends, and pictures are being taken, you usually look forward to seeing them on Facebook, right? Thats how it usually seems to work in college… Pictures taken last night end up on Facebook by the next morning, or, depending on the severity of the hangover, the next afternoon. Well now, depending on the ‘sexiness’ of your drinking activities, you can look forward to seeing the pictures on FBChicks.com as well. So keep shaking that scabbed up salty egg ass for us.
I know I’ve posted this video before, but it’s still just as funny to me as it was when I first saw it. Gotta wonder who was filming that? When you see something ridiculous happen and you think to yourself “man, I wish I could have gotten that on tape” – This incident falls into the .005% that are actually recorded, for whatever reason.
I absolutely cannot wait for the new Between the Buried and Me album (“Colors”) to drop. I came across this studio footage of them recording the album, which drops September 18th. I watched it three or four times just because it’s the closest thing I’m gonna get to hearing the album itself for what seems like a long time.
While on the topic of music, you can check out a live show that Glassjaw did on July 7th at The Brixton Academy in London, they posted it on their website… Sounds pretty damn good if you ask me.
I just got a ticket for the Sounds Of The Underground tour this Sunday. I kind of feel like a Hot Topic douchebag paying $40+ (thanks Ticketmaster) but it’s about time I see Gwar live… And I’m definitely excited to see The Acacia Strain, Job For A Cowboy, and Amon Amarth. I used to be all about Shadows Fall, but I haven’t checked out any of their new stuff, and if they followed the path that most musicans in their situation would have (tiptoeing on breaking into the ‘mainstream’, commercial radio play and etc) then I probably won’t like what they’re doing now, but either way it should be a good time. Have a good weekend, and guys, approach a girl and ask her for a bloodjob. Girls, I guess you could ask a guy too, it’s probably just as confusing no matter the sex of the individual.

You’re totally right about Shadows Fall.
