Download Mastodon’s “Crack The Skye” & Music Video Power Hour

The new Mastodon album is finally upon us. I haven’t had a chance to listen yet, but I just threw it on the iPod and I’m heading to the gym, pretty excited to hear it. You can Download Mastodon’s Crack The Skye here. Not much else to say about that, but I’m 99% sure that no one is getting Rickrolled this time. There’s still a small chance though.

I’ve had several people ask me about the Power Hour DVD over the past… Well, six months or more. I have an XViD version of the “Rock” Music Video Power Hour that I made like 2 years ago. The video quality isn’t top notch, but it’s still an awesome video overall. I am tooting my own horn, eat shart if you disagree. In retrospect there’s a good 15-20 videos on there that I would have never included, but at the time I was making this with the average college student in mind (I sold a good amount of these DVDs for $5 each) so really, the music selection could be a lot worse. Anyway, you can download the Jiglet.net Power Hour DVD (Rock Version) here. The rap version and the metal/punk version? I never got around to encoding those, so for now they’re only on DVD, but if there is enough demand I could probably set aside some time to do that. Anyway, I hope some of you can make use of this over the weekend.

Edit: Looks like the Mastodon album was pulled. Here are two more links:

Crack The Skye #1
Crack The Skye #2

I didn’t upload these myself, I just used my elite search engine skillz to find them, so the files might have passwords on them. Also, if you use sites like mediafire (and megaupload/rapidshare/etc, really), make sure your anti-virus definitions are up to date, there’s some nasty stuff floating around. This album rules.

Haha, nice, glad to hear it joecal. It spread like an std at my school, I remember going to parties where I didn’t know the person who lived there and seeing the DVD on the TV, pretty cool. I’ve seen that thing so many times, I pretty much know the order of the songs by heart.

I’ve just finished listening to the Mastodon album for a review I’m doing for my uni’s music magazine. I wasn’t sure at first because I’m not sure about progressive metal but it’s actually unforgettable and I was able to get lost in it.
