TKE It! November 23
So it’s been a pretty damn long time since I’ve posted. I’ve been dealing with alot of crap lately, but Thanksgiving Break is finally here, and it’s about time. I’m not gonna go into detail, but let’s just say things aren’t going very well around here, and posting on the site hasn’t exactly been at the top of my priority list.
This layout is only temporary until I have the chance to create a new one. This is (obviously) the default template for Wordpress, which I updated to in order to reduce spam comments, and it’s just an overall better application. So feel free to start posting feedback in the comments section now, I hated the fact that I had to disable that for so long while I was still using Greymatter.
I seriously can’t wait for the 50 Cent: Bulletproof game to come out. After watching the tralers on the game’s website, I definitely wanna get a copy of this when it comes out.
MIT has unveiled its $100 hand-cranked laptop computer to the United Nations technology summit in Tunisia and said that it hopes to make millions of the devices to give to the poorest people in the world. This is a pretty interesting read, you can check out the full article here.
I don’t know if many of you are familiar with the death metal band Dying Fetus, but they’re pretty ridiculous, and I have a hard time taking them seriously. Anyway, someone put together a bunch of clips from children’s shows (alot of them look like they’re from Nickelodeon shows) and made a music video for the bands’ hit single, “Kill Your Mother, Rape Your Dog”. You know you wanna see that.
This is kinda interesting… A bunch of indie bands were asked if they’d like to perform on the popular tv show, ‘the OC’. I’m kind of surprised at a alot of the answers given.
I finally got ahold of a copy of Martin & Orloff on DVD, and it’s pretty damn funny. If you’re a fan of the Upright Citizens Brigade, or other weird sketch comedy, it’s probably worth checking out. It was just recently released on DVD, I got it from Deep Discount DVD (product link) for $11.99.
I got an email from a viewer of the site that asked me to help him raise funds for a charity, the ‘BBC Children in Need Appeal’. He told me that on the site (sponsquare.co.uk), “there are 3000 squares to sponsor and each requires a donation of 1 GBP. Once a square is sponsored it gets flipped to reveal part of a larger picture of Pudsey Bear (he’s the main symbol of the charity). The ultimate aim is to get every square flipped to reveal the whole picture - and raise 3000 GBP in the process!” For more information on this charity, visit the BBC Children in Need Appeal homepage.
Check out mizi’s work that got featured on deviously artistic, pretty cool stuff. Also, check out DJTurtle.com.
I’m heading to Harrisburg tonight to hang out with some friends, and then leaving for Pittsburgh tomorrow morning to visit relatives for the holiday. I was just outside (beer run) and it’s snowing, and coming down pretty heavy too, so hopefully the roads will be nice and slick when I get out there… Just kiddin’ folks, have a great holiday weekend!
