Drink My Chemicals

So yeah, I haven’t updated for awhile… Surprise surprise. We’re only 3 weeks into this semester, but I feel like I’ve only been back at school for like a week now, if that. I’ve been busy with the usual stuff, drinking and schoolwork, plus I have another internship (I had one my junior year at an art gallery). On top of all that, I have a new lady friend I’ve been seeing, so I rarely have extra time to sit down and just aimlessly browse the web looking for dumb links to put on here. But I feel bad for waiting this bad to update… I still have a lot of things I’d like to do with this site, but I’m an idiot and can’t figure stuff out half the time anyway. I don’t know how many of your remember the Power Hour DVD I was selling. I decided to try and distribute the 3 Power Hour videos for free on the internet. So I’m gonna encode them as DiVX files and have them available here for everyone to download… Keep an eye out for that, I’ll probably have them up next time I post.

A few months back I posted three songs by my little brother’s band, Still Motion. I got some decent feedback, some of you seemed to like them a lot. They’ve recorded four more songs, and I think they sound great. If you’re into classic/alternative rock, you should definitely check them out.

I don’t use my PSP too often, but I wanted to check out the web browser that was only available if you upgraded to the 2.5 firmware. Which I did, and then realized afterwards that if you’re running 2.5 firmware or higher, you can’t run any homebrew/emulators/etc, and to downgrade to a lower version of the firmware was impossible. If you’re in the same predicament, keep an eye on Fanjita’s Place, any day now they should have a working eLoader or whatever which will allow you to bypass the stupid protection Sony felt was necessary to include on their PSPs.

If you’re like me and don’t really know your way around iTunes all that well, and just use it to transfer music to your iPod, then check out download.com’s Tips For Tweaking iTunes. Nothing ground-breaking here, but some of you might find it helpful. Speaking of iPods… Am I the only one that’s not willing to shell out $35 for a case just to keep my video iPod from getting all scratched up? It’s already pretty scratched, and I’ve tried to take care of it, but anything over $15 is too much to pay for a little piece of leather to cover the thing up, if you ask me.

I’m sure most of you have seen those Chuck Norris facts by now, and they’re pretty funny, but I never bothered mentioning them on here. However, the man himself responded to these facts circulating about him on the internet… And that’s pretty funny to me.

I’ve seen several stories now about school administration using pictures found on Facebook to get students in trouble, so I definitely got a kick out of this.

Someone created a level editor for Super Mario World (SNES) - If you’re bored, this could be pretty fun.

I have a lot of stuff to take care of today, so that’s all for now, but I definitely don’t plan on waiting too long to update again.

Poo Bear

My New Years was a blast… But honestly it pales in comparison to our “road trip” to the Orange Bowl (see pictures here). Five of my friends and I drove down to Miami, and stayed in Fort Lauderdale in a hotel which was literally right across the street from the beach. It was crazy to go from the climate here in PA (blizzards and etc) to beautiful 80 degree weather in Florida, and I actually got tan while I was there… Although it might have had to do with the fact that I passed out on the beach and woke up there the next morning with a bunch of people that I didn’t know. But I don’t have time to get into that right now, and I still feel like I have to watch what I talk about on this site, since my name is associated with it. Putting my name on here is a mistake I’m starting to wish I never made, since it has caused nothing but problems. Anyway, the Orange Bowl tailgate was absolutely insane. It was easily twice the size of any tailgate I’ve ever been to before. At some point someone busted out the blue and white body paint, and some girl wrote ‘FSU’ on my chest with an arrow pointing to my crotch, more or less indicating that FSU blows. Unfortunately, I didn’t bring any shorts with me, so I was forced to wear a pair of red shorts, red being Florida State’s color. So rabid PSU fanatics would see my red shorts, and in a drunken rage catch a glimpse of ‘FSU’ on my chest, and they’d get pretty damn hostile. I almost got my arse kicked at least five times for walking through (or near) the bigger Penn State tailgates with that getup. I did manage to explain the situation to a decent number of people though, and a lot of people thought it was hilarious and took pictures. I didn’t plan on being able to watch the game, since the tickets were so expensive, and originally just planned on coming along for the tailgate (since my buddy Sean didn’t have a ticket either). But with the overwhelming number of people there, Verizon phones were pretty much not working at all. The kids I went with had tickets for two other people, but they couldn’t get in touch with them to meet up with them and exchange the tickets for money, so they ended up giving the tickets to us, which was a nice surprise. As many of you may know, I’m not a huge football fan, but this game was intense, and was hands-down the best football game I’ve seen in real life. For those of you that missed the coverage of the game, the attendance was over 75% Penn State fans, which is nuts since we were in Florida. Everywhere you looked you saw blue and white, and the “We Are!” chants shook the entire stadium. Anyway, it was an awesome time.
