Got some chads laying around that you don't need? Well, now you can put them to use, in a scrumptious and constructive way! These recipes are fun for the whole family!


Mini Chad Pizzas

List of Ingredients

  • 8 to 10 eggs

  • 3 tbls milk

  • 1 cup crushed chads

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 tbls butter or margerine

  • 10 frozen dinner rolls thawed

  • 10 strips of bacon cooked and crumbled

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese


  • Instructions

  • In a bowl beat eggs.

  • Add milk, salt and pepper.

  • Melt butter in skillet.

  • Add egg mixture.

  • Cook and stir over medium heat until eggs are set.

  • Roll each dinner roll into circle (5in) and place on greased baking sheets.

  • Spoon egg mixture onto crusts evenly.

  • Sprinkle with bacon, cheese and chads.

  • Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until cheese is melted.

    Note: The longer you cook the pizza, the more likely it is that the chads will dissolve.






  • Tuna-Chad Casserole

    List of Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • 1/2 cup mayonaise

  • 2 tsp prepared mustard

  • 2 cups of chopped chad

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp thyme

  • 1/4 tsp dill weed

  • 5 cups cooked egg noodles

  • 2 cans tuna

  • 1/2 cup chopped celery

  • 1/3 cup sliced green onion

  • 1 small zucchini sliced

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 medium chopped tomato


  • Instructions

  • In a small bowl, combine the first six ingredients; mix well.

  • In a large bowl, combine noodles, tuna, celery and onions.

  • Stir in the sour cream mixture.

  • Sprinkle in the chad bits.

  • Spoon half of mixture into greased microwave safe dish.

  • Top with half the zucchini. Repeat layers.

  • Microwave, uncovered on high for 6-8 minutes or until heated through.

  • Sprinkle with cheese and tomatoe. Microwave uncovered 2 minutes longer.

  • Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.


  • Makes about 6 servings.

    Hanukkah Honey, Spice & Chad Cookies

    Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) margarine, softened

  • 1 cup of fresh chads

  • 1/2 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar

  • 1/2 cup honey

  • 1 egg

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves


  • Ingredients For 'Royal Icing':

  • 2 egg whites

  • 3 cups confectioners' sugar

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • 1/8 teaspoon salt


  • Instructions:

  • In a large mixer bowl, cream margarine and brown sugar; beat in honey and egg until well combined.

  • In a small bowl, combine flour, ginger, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and cloves; add to honey mixture. Beat on low speed until well blended. Cover dough. Refrigerate at least 1 hour, or up to 3 days.

  • Grease cookie sheets; set aside.

  • Working quickly with one-fourth of the dough at a time, roll out on floured surface to 1/4-inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes, including a dreidel, menorah, or star. Using a spatula, place on prepared cookie sheets l inch apart. Reroll and cut scraps.

  • Sprinkle the chads onto the cookies at your own discretion.

  • Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven 7 minutes, or until done. Transfer to wire racks to cool.

  • Meanwhile, prepare royal icing: In a large mixer bowl, combine egg whites, confectioners' sugar, lemon juice and salt. Beat on high speed until mixture holds soft peaks. Makes about 2 cups.

  • Decorate cooled cookies with royal icing around edges, using a pastry bag fitted with tube.
